Class 1 Medicals
Air Transport Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence (other than balloons), Multi-crew Pilot (aeroplane) Licence, Flight Engineer Licence or Student Flight Engineer Licence
Medical Certificate is valid for one year
Class 2 Medicals
For Private Pilots (PPL), Student Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot (Balloon) Licence and Flight Radio Operator Licence.A Class 2 medical certificate will be an option for pilots operating commercial flights that do not carry passengers from 1 March 2018. This applies to operations with a maximum take-off weight of less than 8618 kilograms and is likely to be of specific benefit for aerial agriculture flights, flight instruction or flight examination.
Medical Certificate is valid for four years for applicants less than 40 years of age on the day of issue, and in all other cases for two years.
Recreational Aviation Medical Practioner's Certificate.
If you intend to fly in day VFR at or below 10000ft with a MTOW of 1500kg or less and hold an unconditional Driver's Licence you may be eligible for this Medical Certificate which is less rigourous and cheaper than a Class 2.
Class 3 Medical
Air traffic Controllers (ATC) and Flight Service Oficers.
Valid for 2 years
